Dr. Awender graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1984.  He has been in practice in Freeport for 28 years.  What Dr. Awender enjoys most about being a dentist in private practice is helping people achieve confidence and satisfaction in how their teeth look and feel.  Dr. Awender’s goal for all of his patients is to give them the proper care and attention, so they can enjoy healthy teeth and gums for a lifetime.

Dr. Awender and his wife Mary, a licensed esthetician, have three grown children, Reinhardt, Jakob and Maria.  They are proud to be long-term residents of Freeport, and to help their friends and their community live happier and
healthier lives.
